Who the heck is Rod Eccles?  Why should anyone listen to him or read a
darn thing he says or writes?

Rod is just your average "Joe the Citizen."  He loves the Unites States of America and believes it
is the greatest nation that has ever graced the face of the earth.

Born just outside of Springfield, MA in the small town of Chickopee Falls to a career Air Force
Man and the only child of a Southern Baptist Minister.  Rod grew up all over the country and
nations across the "Pond".  One of those countries was Greece.

Rod also spent some time in the inner city of Buffalo, NY where he attended public school for his
4th and 8th grade years.  Rod has a wide view of the world and is an avid reader and student of
history.

He greatly appreciates what the Founding Fathers of the USA went through, what they risked
and what they eventually accomplished and Rod believes that this victory was due to the Will of
God.

Rod believes that the Constitution and all of our founding documents are inspired by God Himself
and the guidelines and laws set fourth in those documents are the basis for the greatness and
success that is the United States.

He started espousing his beliefs on a discussion board on the Motley Fool.  The board was
called "the Land of off topic post" and even though it was populated by many well meaning
Liberals, he stood his ground and took verbal punches that forced many with conservative and
libertarian ideals off the board.  Rod left the Motley Fool when it changed from a free site to a
paid members only site.
Rod stayed active in politics by starting The Liberty Café on a free Geocities web page.  It grew
and grew and became a very large site with lots of information and commentary.  He dealt with a
death threat as the site grew.  But that did not deter him from expressing what he believed was a
more freedom loving course our country needed to take.

The site grew to a point where Rod did not have the time to administer so he deleted that web
site a few years after it started.  But Rod knew he would be back.

There were many issues that came to light that tugged on Rod's heart and mind that brought him
back to the lime light.  He began appearing on different political boards across the web where he
took a stand on freedom and liberty.  The same principles that he has always held dear to his
heart.

These boards lead Rod to start a blog page on blogger.com.  Of course not everyone agree with
Rod but there is one thing they all can say about him.  He is unwavering in his principled ideas.
He has stayed the course even through some very verbal threats.

Being a mixed race man, Native American, Black, French and Irish, Rod understands much of
what has gone on in our nation as it relates to race, religion, ethnicity and beliefs.  He stands for
the Constitution and he stands for Liberty and Freedom and believes that our government is too
big, too powerful and moving towards a socialistic society.  Something he vehemently will fight to
his last breath.

Rod is divorced and now lives in Southern New Hampshire where the state motto is "Live Free or
Die."
