FTC to Regulate Blogging

Now some people may think this is a good idea.  On the surface it is a good idea.  But that is as far as the
good idea goes.  It has no depth of being a good idea.  It is really based on feeling and not logic.

The focus of this ruling is to 'regulate' certain speech.  They say it is to make sure consumers don't get ripped
off when someone is being paid to blog about a certain product or service.

I think most people know a paid endorsement when they read one.  I sure do.  But the left thinks government
needs to protect the general population from their own greed and stupidity.

In actuality it is the consumer that needs to do their homework and not be moved by emotion of the whim
when they see a product or service that gets a 'raving' review.  I always investigate.  With the Internet, it takes
all of maybe 10 minutes to investigate the claims made by a blogger.  No government intervention needed.

Not to mention no $11,000 fine if the blogger doesn't comply with the new rules.  Why 11k?  Who came up
with that number?  Of course it is to maximise the fine amounts that they get, it has nothing to do with
protecting the public.  Its a money grab pure and simple.
